Ioanna Protopapa the 16-year north Londoner has made it big in Greece by successfully making the last 16 of the Greek X-Factor.

Born and raised in north London Ioanna who competed against 30,000 other hopefuls flew to Greece with her mother to audition for the show.

Her voice and image have made the headlines in Greece with her rendition of "Hero" by Mariah Carey, which was warmly welcomed by the panel. Ioanna is tipped for great things in Greece with her mothers careful management who has gone out with her. Ioanna is currently a student at Finchley Manor Greek school.

Greece has a history of choosing Greek-Londoners for performances with Sarbel a Southgate local chosen to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song contest finishing 7th place last year.
