"I am so chuffed and humbled to have received this important award, from people I truly respect and regard as good friends, thank you to the Gatehouse Theatre and I wish John and Katie many years of success", Mario Kombou on receiving the HUGO.

The Gatehouse is currently showing the exhilarating and fun "A Slice of Saturday Night" an action packed 2 hour production full of young and exciting names to watch like Stephanie Ticknell-Smith playing Bridget and Lea Bourne who plays Penny.

The production depicts the swinging sixties with clever innuendo well choreographed dance and singing performances.

The songs are a nostalgic pastiche of sounds from the Sixties and the story tells a tale of teenage dreams and young love set around 1964. Step back in time to the 'Swinging 60's' as a group of wide-eyed teenagers discover everything there is to know about love, life and music. A timeless tale for anyone who's ever been a teenager in love.
