Londoners across the capital will soon have the chance to surf the net for free. Skype is offering free Wi-Fi through a city-wide network of hotspots for Internet Week Europe from the 8th to the 12th. Users have to download the latest version of Skype, sign in then select a Wi-Fi network - if it's not compatible with Skype Access it will tell you so you can choose another. The service will be available across the UK. Mayor of London Boris Johnson promised a Wi-Fi rollout across all of London earlier this year, 22 boroughs have already signed up to the Project WiFi scheme. He said that "every lamppost, every bus stop" will offer Wi-Fi. On Sunday passengers at Charring Cross Underground station logged on to BT's Wi-Fi trial.
