Nick Ferrari the Sony winning radio presenter and veteran London journalist has left the Iranian Press TV station reports The Times due to the coverage of the Iranian elections with Ferrari telling The Times:
"I imagine they've been told what to do and I can't reconcile that with working there."
Ferrari was fronting a programme on Press TV "Forum" which was a news discussion programme broadcast via Sky and satellite across the globe.
However British journalists which include the newly appointed Daily Telegraph London editor Andrew Gilligan, the sister of former Prime Minister wife Cherie Booth and the outspoken MP George Galloway are all remaining.
Press TV was attacked by the Israeli Defence Force in January during the Gaza invasion and was broadcasting unedited footage of the atrocities committed by the IDF.
"Press TV is prepared to show the horrific attacks by the IDF with graphic images of children being killed" - Press TV Gaza journalist Hamoudi Gharib.
The Iranian Government has funded Press TV which has been broadcasting to Europe with many media analysts crediting the coverage of the station as "one of the most comprehensive on television" during the IDF invasion of Gaza.
"Press TV takes revolutionary steps as the first Iranian international news network, broadcasting in English on a round-the-clock basis.
Mayor Johnson has confirmed that the outdoor advertising campaign of Press TV will conclude in July.
