There was good news for Fulham fans this weekend who are starting to feel slightly embarressed at their manager crisis. Former favourite for the top spot, ex-England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has "unfinished business" in the Premier League, according to his agent. There where conserns the Swede did not even want the job after his comments just before Martin Jol nudged into pole position, that he was committed to the African national team. Now the sands have shifted and the Swede front runner to replace Roy Hodgson. The South West London side's prime target slipped through their fingers last week leaving them manageress just weeks before the start of the season as their move for Martin Jol has backfired spectacularly. It was believed that Eriksson was dodged due to his high wage demands but Fulham may have to chase and pay the current Ivory Coast what he wants if they're to have a top flight manager at the helm come August 14. Noises are however the club has not yet made a formal approach, hence the agents comments yesterday. Other frontrunner, Cardiff boss Dave Jones, has also not yet been contacted. The former Wolves and Southampton boss who led Cardiff to the Championship play-off final last season is "100% concentrating on next season" according to the Welsh side. A statement from Cardiff read: "Neither the club or the manager have received an approach from Fulham Football Club regarding the vacant manager’s job at Craven Cottage." Eriksson's agent Athole Still said: "It's a very attractive club, not just for Sven (but there has been) no contact whatsoever. We've know for some weeks Sven's one of the managers under consideration." Glenn Hoddle, Mark Hughes, Tony Mowbray, Alan Curbishley and Gianfranco Zola all failed to make the cut as Fulham compiled their three man shortlist. With many of these famous name booted out of their respective clubs at the hands of boardroom shenanigans the London club's top brass will have to play any rapprochement very carefully.
