England reached the semi-finals of the World Twenty20 tournament after a dramatic clash against Afghanistan in Delhi.

After a brilliant run-chase against the bowlers of South Africa, the English team almost lost in favor of the spinners from Afghanistan.

England lost 3 wickets and stumbled to 85 for 7. The situation was saved by the two men of the match David Willey and Moeen Ali, who combined to a vital 57. The pair managed to achieve 25 runs, providing England the so-needed boost to set the target of 143.

Eoin Morgan tried to hide his relief and declared that though the team bowled and fielded well, they did not manage to adapt to the surface. He also praised Moeen’s play and Afghanistan team’s combativeness.
