News Desk BBC presenter and leading black journalist Dotun Adebayo has been awarded an MBE in the Queens birthday honours list.
Dotun Adebayo an Essex University alumni went onto edit the black community's leading newspaper The Voice, and then provide regular contributions to the Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Sun and occasional contributions to the London Daily News.
The Nigerian Londoner made his name with his popular radio show on BBC Five Live "Up All Night" and his reggae show on BBC London.
Also a pioneer with an internet television project "Colour Telly" Dotun has worked relentlessly to put the black community into the mainstream.
The London Daily News would like to extend its congratulations to Dotun and his family, well done!
