Metropolitan Police divers have found a dead body in Ruislip Lido.

The grisly discovery was made Sunday morning and the man is thought to be missing 27-year-old Mevin Atchamah who vanished last Wednesday.

A police spokesman said although formal identification had not taken place his family had been informed of the latest development and a post-mortem examination would take place at Uxbridge Mortuary later.

'High risk'

Mr Atchamah was described as 'high risk' when his Audi TT was found near the popular beauty spot on Reservoir Road near the woods.

It is believed Mr Atchamah, who is Asian was in a depressed state.
