Man dead following stabbing in Walthamstow

A man has been in Walthamstow lost his life following a stabbing in Walthamstow the Met Police have confirmed.

The Met Police have disclosed that a 39-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were arrested near to the scene in relation to a fatal stabbing in Walthamstow on Friday.

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Walthamstow yesterday.

Police were called at around 08:00hrs on Friday, 1 April to a stabbing in Brunel Road, E17.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a 33-year-old man was taken to an east London hospital, suffering stab wounds. He died shortly after arrival at hospital.

Whilst officers believe they know who the victim is, and next of kin have been informed they await a formal identification.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of dearth a stab wound to the chest. An inquest will open and adjourn in due course.

An incident room has opened at Barking under Detective Chief Inspector Stewart Hill from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.
