Police were shot at yesterday after chasing down a stolen car in Ladbroke Grove.

The unformed officers followed the silver Audi on Herries Street around 3pm when the suspects opened fire from the rear window and sped off down a dirt road behind Westbourne Grove bus station.

The gunmen’s vehicle then plowed into another squad car that was blocking the exit leaving two officers receiving treatment for injuries.

Attempted murder

Cops dragged the suspects out of smashed getaway car arresting two people - one on suspicion of attempted murder and the other for possession of a firearm and aggravated vehicle-taking without the owner's consent.

Police from Paddington Green station later recovered a firearm.
