Editorial
With only days left, even the left leaning The Guardian newspaper said on its front-page "barring an earthquake, Tory leader is on his way to No 10", and that is what will happen, forget this false mirage of a "hung parliament". The nation knows how serious our economic predicament is in, and understands that the only way to rectify the problem is to have strong government, with a tight grip on the purse strings. The Liberal Democrat surge will not be reflected in the final results in the country, the electoral system in the UK prevents this, and therefore Labour will still come second. The Tories will win a working majority, simply because Labour's time in office is up, and there is a mood that we need something new, not saying the Tories will solve all the problems ahead of us, but we cannot continue with more of the same.
Gordon Brown has been a great servant to the nation, and has worked tirelessly to save the worlds banking system from collapse, and should move into a high position at the IMF or World Bank where he belongs. But his time as Prime Minister is over; he has simply expired for nation’s electorate.
David Cameron, if he is to be leader of this nation, must not celebrate the victory on May 6, but should with great humility address the nation and say that we are going to have to make some very tough decisions that will prevent a "Greek style meltdown". These tough decisions according to many City analysts are pressing the Tories to do this well before the 50 day emergency budget. The markets will not wait near on 2 months of a new government for a budget. Osborne, if he is to be Chancellor, must stand up to this massive task of re-structuring the finances of the nation, and decide where to start making the cuts.
Moreover it is time for change and every single Londoner, must now think carefully if the current status-quo can go on?
