A man was jailed yesterday, Wednesday 18 August, for three years after dealing drugs to an undercover police officer, whilst working as a driver for a Mayfair nightclub.

Abdul Hasib, 37, of Chester Gardens, EN3 was found guilty of supplying class A drugs and sentenced to three years at Southwark Crown Court.

Hasib acted as a driver and promotional manager for the club and arranged the supply of cocaine to customers. On three occasions Hasib attempted to supply cocaine to police officers working undercover, taking them to a brothel where they were offered drugs.

The sentencing follows a proactive investigation conducted by officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Clubs and Vice Unit, which is now part of SCD9's Human Exploitation and Organised Crime Command.

A second man, also a driver for the club, Michael Morris, 51, of Chester Gardens, EN3 was found guilty at Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday 11 August 2024 for supplying class A drugs and was jailed for four and a half years.
