Our article (15 July 2010) “Barnet Tories stand firm on pay vote ‘cost neutral, no increase to tax payer’ ” alleged that the professional conduct of Cllr Kate Salinger, elected member for Coppetts Ward in the London Borough of Barnet, had been brought into question to the extent that it had merited an approach to her by the Council’s lawyers. The London Daily News is satisfied that this allegation is completely untrue. In fact, Cllr Kate Salinger has never been approached by Barnet lawyers, or indeed at all, regarding her professional conduct during her tenure as Councillor. We apologise to Cllr Salinger for our error and are happy to set the record straight.
