Record numbers to lose jobs in financial services in 2012

The Square Mile, and financial services in London has seen a starling drop in job openings, a 43 per cent decline according to new figures.
According to a leading financial services recruiter, Astbury Marsden, the number of new jobs advertised has fallen by 8 per cent to 54,020.
Only 1,490 new job openings were advertised in December compared to 2,620 in December 2010, according to a report in The Financial Times.
Leading banks like Citigroup, BNP Paribas, RBS are all down-sizing with a potential of 10,000 bankers made redundant.
