Over six hundred taxi-cabs have been taken off the road & confusion is rife amongst the ranks of London's taxi-cab drivers. A manufacturer that hasn't identified the fault & a regulator in the Public Carriage Office that could have acted much sooner. Here at the London Daily News we support the plight of the innocent taxi-cab drivers who have effectively been left to ring around taxi garages in the hope they may find a spare taxi-cab to rent, but who's paying their bills? What of compensation and what of legal action, surely it would be better for all those effected to join together in one action against the party at fault here. A united front is required by all the drivers and one trade organisation should do the right thing and take a lead. For far too long the hard working driver has sat back and stayed silent in the face of incompetence and adversity. The time may well be nearing when younger intelligent leaders will come to the fore and save the one institution that London can be rightly proud of and that is it's Taxi-cab drivers.
