News Desk - 9pm

Gordon Brown has reiterated his vision that a global banking levy to be introduced to prevent bonuses and the practices that have allowed banks to involve themselves in "high risk" financial practices.

How will each party bring fairness, Cameron "it is completely unacceptable.  We need to regulate properly, give back power to the BofEn, and have a bank levy". Retail banks should not be acting as casinos, banks should not be acting in risky activities.

Clegg - No bonuses to directors of banks at board level, pay them lots of money, but don't give them these bonuses, no cash bonuses above £2000.  Banks making losses should not be given any bonuses.

Brown - I had to nationalise banks, to save the deposits of families around the country, I have never been so angry, when I spoke to a head of a bank who said before the crash that he only had a cash flow problem.  He had a structural problem.  We will never allow banks act in an irresponsible way again.

Cameron - Fred the Shred given knighthood by this government, Bank of England to regulate banks again.

Clegg - Both Conservatives and Lab prefer one interest or another in Square Mile, we must look fundamentally at how banks are regulated.  Governor of BofE split high street banking and other activities who are risky.

Brown - £2 billion tax on banks is being levied in last budget, i want a global banking levy.

Cameron - Having learn't of lesson bailing out banks, that we should not be bailing out other EU countries, the Lib Dems want to join the EURO.  Lets keep out of the EURO.

Clegg - "This is getting desperate" - Support joining EURO if the economic conditions benefit the UK economy to join
