Brentford has been named as London's burglary magnet after it topped a table of insurance claims.

The West London borough was ahead of six other districts in the UK wide list with almost 5% of its properties making an insurance claim for break-ins and thefts in May 2006 - May 2007.

West Norwood, Mill Hill, Streatham and Crouch End were also identified as 'hotspots' for burglars according to moneysupermarket.com.
