Murder detectives are questioning the boyfriend of a 16-year-old girl found dead in Kings Cross yesterday afternoon.

The body was found just yards from her home in an ally outside a block of flats off York Way, north of station.

Police think the teen was either pushed or fell from a balcony.

The crime scene at the Delhi Outram Estate and the defunct York Way underground station, which is now occupied by an electrical firm, is sealed off and a cordon remained in place today around the three-storey building.

Photos of the area show a CCTV camera outside the old station trained on the exact spot the body was discovered.

There was no attempt to hide the body and there were no signs of sexual assault, but her clothes were disturbed. The 19-year-old suspect was picked up after cops were called around 3.30pm.

Police believe they know the identity of the teenager but are still trying to trace all her next of kin.
