Boris declares zero tolerannce to alcohol on London buses
Boris Johnson the Conservative candidate for Mayor at meeting organised by the Conservative Friends of Cyprus declared that he will ban all alcohol on buses in London, and make it a criminal offence.
In response to questions from thelondondailynews.com Boris was also categoric towards the way in which London streets are to be made safer, "we need to cut the Mayor's publicity budget and get more Police officers on the streets of London. How can cities like New York be safer than London?"
Recent polls have indicated that Ken Livingstone is clawing back the lead Boris was reported to have, with ICM showing a 1 point gap between the candidates.
Answering questions on the overspend on the 2012 Olympics, Boris stated "I am a fan of the Olympics, but we must reduce the spending. Why are we spending millions of pounds on Pyonyang style papers like The Londoner, when this should be used to pay for things like the Olympics".
Boris also reaffirmed his commitment to plant trees in the inner city of the capital, and restore "humanity to London".
The election for Mayor of London will be held on 2 May. |
