Body found on underground "consistent with being hit by train"

A body found on the tracks of the District Line at Bayswater is according to a British Transport Police statement "consistent with being hit by a train".

The police have said that the body was found at 02:25am Friday on the tracks at Bayswater tube on the District line, and the situation of the body on the tracks remains "unexplained".

Severe delays have been caused by the incident on the District; Circle lines until the police conclude their investigations.
