One of the alleged victims of a black cab driver accused of drugging then sexually assaulting his passengers says he offered her £2,000 for sex. The 24-year-old Scandinavian women told Croydon Crown Court yesterday that John Worboys was furious after she poured champagne he gave he on the cab floor. The prosecution allege the glasses of champagne where spiked with a "cocktail" of "date rape drugs" leaving them which left them helpless and suffering memory loss before driving to secluded areas - subjecting them to sexual assaults. Worboys is said to have picked up women in the West End in the early hours claimed he won thousands on the lottery and invited his passengers to join him in toasting his success. The cabbie from Rotherhithe, is charged with 23 offences against 14 women between October 2006 and February 2008. Champagne 'made her sick'
This, the sixth woman to give evidence, asked him to take her home and he did. After having four sips of the champagne she became violently ill when she got inside her home. Traces of Temazepam were found in the body of one of his accusers after she woke up dazed and confused in her bathroom. Her testimony She told the jury how in the early hours of July 26 2007 Worbys offered to take her home to King's Cross for £5 when after picking her up after a nightclub off Regent Street. She said she felt a bit drunk but was able to get home, after drinking some of the champagne Worbys started talking about sex: "After a while, he told me about a friend who had had sex with a girl for £1,000. "Then he asked me if I would do that. I laughed and said no. "Then he said, 'How about £1,500?' Again I answered no. "Then he said: 'How about £2,000?' As he said this he pulled up next to the kerb. "As I realised he had stopped the car, I thought he was serious, and I said, 'I just want you to take me home, take me home now. "He said, 'Yes, OK, and we said £5 right?"' "Because I felt dizzy and uncomfortable, I poured it (champagne) out on to the floor. "I don't think he saw, but he still asked about the champagne. "I said, 'It's good, I've finished it', and I showed him the empty glass. "He said, 'No, you didn't finish it, you poured it out on to the floor'. "He seemed a bit aggressive, almost challenging me. "I said that I had finished it, and I gave him back the glass." He took her home, and she gave him the £5. When inside she felt "very drunk and very dizzy" and vomited on herself, on the floor and on the wall. She did not report the incident to police but did after her boyfriend saw the story of a black cab sex attacker. Worbys QC said the sex talk was "hypothetical". The trial continues.
