By Gemma Brosnan FOR those who enjoy summer cocktails as much as working on their serve, one bar has an ingenious solution to ensure you enjoy both. Located in the heart of Camden Town Stables Market, the staff at Gilgamesh are sporting traditional tennis clothing and getting ready to serve up delightfully inspired cocktails on their new indoor tennis court, in time for Wimbledon 2009. Complete with Astroturf flooring and a retracting roof like Wimbledon, the al fresco experience is bound to prove overwhelmingly popular with those looking to combine their passion for all things tennis with quality entertainment and dining. Operated by Ian Pengelley, formerly of Notting Hill’s E&O, there are an array of Pan-Asian culinary delights on offer for those building up a hunger, from Pork Gyoza Dumplings, Salmon Inside Out Roll, Spicy Spider Roll Soft Shell Crab and main courses such as Hoba Miso Chilean Seabass, Beef Penaeng and Duck and Watermelon Salad with Cashew Nuts and Sweet Fish Sauce. Green Tea Banana Cake and Chocolate Fondant are just a couple of examples from the desert menu and the open kitchen allows diners to see chefs in action whilst they dine. And if you can tear yourself away from the game, make sure you find time to sample a Murray Martini. Camden View, Camden Stables Market, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AH Open seven days a week from 11am until late. www.gilgameshbar.com
