David Beckham is a sure bet to be heading towards White Hart Lane to play for 2 months during the break of the US soccer league, and his team the LA Galaxy.

In what Harry Redknapp the manager of Tottenham Hotspur described as not a "money move" but testament to Beckham's commitment to football, the former Manchester United player and Enfield born Beckham will play for Tottenham Hotspur for two months, subject to the LA Galaxy giving the all clear today.

Speaking to TalkSport Harry Redknapp confirmed that the idea of Beckham playing with Spurs originated when his son Jamie Redknapp mentioned the idea to Beckham in LA, and then Daniel Levy Spurs Chairman backed the move.

The deal is likely to be confirmed today officially by Spurs.
