By News Desk There seems to be no respite in the bloodshed on the roads of London, despite todays arrests of four people in connection with the murder of black teenager Shakilus Townsend.
Three male youths and one girl are being questioned at two South London police stations.
Shakilus, 16, was stabbed and beaten with a baseball bat in an attack in Thornton Heath, south London, on Thursday.
The News of the World in today's front page has revealed that Shaklius Townsend was in fact a "gang member" and was "honoured" by his gang pals as a fallen soldier.
The report by Robert Kellaway and Phil Whiteside quotes a fellow gang member YungahJKid saying "Ride wiv a weapon, neva fist fight".
The incident apparently was provoked by a "honeytrap" from a rival gang involving a female known to Shakilus.
Reports from neighbours of Shakilus described him as a "bit of a tearaway".
Despite these reports this young man died for no reason, another pointless death in London.
